Day of Service

Oconomowoc High School and Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce Collaboration

October 18, 2022 | 8:00am – 11:00am

A key component of Oconomowoc Area School District’s Graduate Profile includes preparing students to be global citizens. This entails helping students grow as service-minded individuals who are empowered to think globally and act locally. A global citizen embraces diversity and humanitarianism while demonstrating awareness and empathy. Towards that end, OHS engages all of our freshmen in a service learning project.

We are planning for service learning projects to take place from about 8 – 11 am.

Collaboration Opportunities:

The Oconomowoc High School and Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering for a Day of Service, an event in which Chamber businesses and students work together on a service learning project to give back to our community.  Ways you can participate include the following:

  1. Participate in one of the service learning projects led by the high school staff (see list below).
  2. Host a service learning project at your business (this could be your own project or one from the high school list).  This is a great way for students to learn more about your company and an easy way for your own employees to participate.
  3. Lead a service learning project that others could participate in
  4. Donate materials in kind
  5. Make a financial donation to support materials and/supplies for one of the projects

Below is an overview of projects from last year.  Click on the learn more button for details for each project and to register. We look forward to partnering with you to make this day a success.
