This week, Oconomowoc Area Senior Center President Ginni Hicks, gave Oconomowoc Chamber Executive Director Kelly Webster, a tour of the center. This piece of our community was buzzing with activity! In just a short visit, at least five different, lively groups were meeting, creating, playing, and connecting.

The Center is a vibrant, primarily volunteer-run organization with a heartfelt mission: no one should ever feel alone. Volunteers contributed thousands of hours to help make the Center a welcoming place for all. They host over 150 programs each month, covering educational, recreational, social, and wellness opportunities — from games and classes to fitness programs and social events.

Membership at the Oconomowoc Area Senior Center is low-cost, and they recently celebrated reaching 1,000 members! With more than 16,000 visits each year, it’s clear this is a place where community thrives. For those who want to stay up to date, you can subscribe to their monthly newsletter or activity calendar to see everything they have to offer. There are plenty of ways to donate your time and treasure to the center.

There is so much heart behind this organization, and it truly shows the moment you walk through the door. The Oconomowoc Area Senior Center is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local seniors every single day.
